Hunter Dobins will the toe record for Boston Red Sox in Bronx on Sunday night as the team is facing their al East -Rival New York Yankees.
The only time Dobbins will ever beat at Yankee Stadium is for the road team.
“My dad was a Die-Hard Red Sox fan,” the 25-year-old right-handed man told the Boston Herald. “And I’ve said it before that if Yankees was the last team that gave me a contract, I would retire.”

Its only real Dobbins were prepared by Boston in the eighth round of the 2021 amateur draft from Texas Tech considering his loyalty to the franchise.
He even said he wasn’t as attached to Red Sox as his father was, but “I think out of contempt for Yankees, I saw others than them.”

There have been plenty of times in professional sports where players and subsequently their relatives change alliances they have had throughout their lives because they now play for a specific team.
Dobbins hope he can have a long career with Red Sox and doesn’t have to worry about a potential Yankees contract. But no one really knows how their careers will shake out.
However, there was a Yankees player that Dobbins tilted his cap even today.

“Can I say all of them, but Andy Pettitte?” He answered when asked who his least favorite Yankee was. “Andy Pettitte and my dad were really good friends.”
This is Dobbins’ first season with Red Sox, where he has had seven starts out of his nine appearances.
In 44.1 laps, Dobbins have given up 20 earned races for a 4.06 era with 37 strikes for 10 walks. He also has a 1,331 whip.
Dobbins are able to help his Red Sox beat Yankees in their first series of the year. Boston took New York, 10-7, Saturday night after going to New York starter Ryan Yarbough early.
