Reese Washerspoon Remember Audition for ‘Gone Girl’

Reese Witherspoon has shockingly revealed that director David Fincher refused to throw her in Away Girl.

While appearing for an interview about Las Culturistas Podcast, she sincerely discussed how the instructor refused to throw her for the role of Amy Dunne, who ended up going to Rosamund Pike.

Remembers when she received the offer for the role, Legally Blonde Actress said, “I had all these conversations with the author Gillian Flynn, and she was like, ‘No, I really want you to do it.'”

When she revealed the US director’s comment, she continued, “but he was like ‘you are wrong.’ It was first and foremost an ego check for me.

“He didn’t have to, he’s David Fincher, he literally says it easily:” You’re wrong for this part, and I don’t put you into it, “the Hollywood actress added.

Sharing how her fame would play a role in the movie she was cast, she noticed, “I think it’s probably for him, yes. I’ve brought an audience with me who likes me and wants me to win.”

However, rejection from the film was crucial for the 49-year-old actress to understand her role as a producer.

“Producing also means getting out of the way when you have to. Do your job to promote, keep pulling people together, keep building creative groups so that the ultimate result is the best work it might be,” she added before ending the chat.
