Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Friday that it is our collective responsibility to provide relief and rehabilitation to those affected by rain and flooding.
By tackling the media after the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz said compensation is paid to families to those who lost their lives during the rain.
More than 700 people have been killed and nearly 1,000 wounded in monsoon -related incidents across the country since June 26, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Of the total deaths, at least 356 were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Karachi, at least seven people lost their lives as heavy rainfall flooded neighborhoods, curly traffic and caused widespread power breaks, causing the mayor to declare a rain emergency.
He said Pakistan Army under the supervision of the Chief of Army Staff (Coas) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir actively participates in relief operations.
