Hogan supported President Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election and was already considered a polarizing and controversial figure after leaking sound showed him who made racist remarks. He lost advantage with some pro wrestling fans because of that.

Green’s remarks about Hogan pulled down from fans on social media, and she turned to them in an initial post.

“A significant part of my role on @wwe involves engaging in public and answering questions, often on live platforms,” wrote Green on X. “Yesterday I was asked to comment on Hulk Hogan on Live -tv. Let me be clear: My attitude towards racism is unwavering. I don’t condon it – time.

“If my answer (or tweet) seemed dismissive of real concerns, I sincerely apologize. It was never my intention. I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I learn one day at a time and will continue to learn.”

The setback seemed to continue and Green stepped away from social media.

“I’ve tried to keep my side positive and comical, but today a lot changed … and it hit harder than I expected. The name call, the death threats, the faceless accounts,” she added.

“Social media should be a fun place and it’s not been in a while. It’s been overwhelming and I have to go away a little.”

Hogan died Thursday after suffering a potential heart event in his Florida home.
