Islamabad:
Pakistan underwent an extraordinary transformation through a sweeping set of reforms introduced by the government in 2024, said a report issued by a national party institute affiliated with the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Sunday.
Misshal Pakistan, the country’s partner institute for the new economic and community platform for WEF, said in the report that the pace and extent of these changes is unprecedented as more than 100 reforms were implemented within a year.
“Over the past 11 months, more than 120 reforms have been implemented across several sectors that create the country’s governance, economic policies, legal frameworks and institutional efficiency,” the report states.
Pakistan reforms Report 2025 offers a year-round assessment that presents a more accurate and holistic picture of governance, accountability and inclusive reforms. It is the first comprehensive effort to systematically document the government’s reform agenda.
This initiative is crucial to providing an accurate and transparent account of political transformations that allow stakeholders – including decision makers, businesses and international institutions – to engage in and evaluate Pakistan’s developing management landscape.
“Pakistan Reforms Report 2025 is an unprecedented initiative aimed at bridging the knowledge gap in government reforms,” said Amir Jahangir, CEO of Misshal Pakistan, while talking at the launch of the report.
