Rawalpindi:
A court has sent Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Squadron Leader (RETD) Anum Hasan to Adiala Prison in a 14-day judgment for allegedly having forged a divorce certificate to remarry.
Senior Civil Judge Waqar Ahmed Siddhu issued the order after her husband, Skvadon leader Adnan Shamoon, accused her of preparing a false divorce decree and a fraudulent Union Council -Distance Certificate to marry another man, Saad Rafiq.
Shamoon, a pilot stationed at Kamra Air Base, presented evidence of the court, stating that he married Anum Hasan in 2014, and they have three children, six -year -old Zainab, three -year -old Mehrun Nisa and one and a half years old Ibrahim.
On September 21, 2023, Shamoon was sent to Sargodha Air Base in a 10-month course, and during his stay he maintained a regular contact with his wife. When he returned, however, he discovered that his wife was missing and filed a written complaint with the Pakistani Air Force.
During the study, a divorce certificate dated July 31, 2024, which was issued by the Union Council of Afandi Colony, was uncovered. In addition, a fraudulent Khula order was also discovered from family judge Muhammad Sarfaraz. Further studies revealed that the divorce certificate and the court decision she used were forged.
Police registered a case and arrested Anum Hasan. While police requested a three-day physical custody, the court rejected the request and instead sent her to Adiala Prison for Judgment. She has also requested bail.
