The establishment department has issued a notification that outlines revised working hours for federal government offices during the Holy Month Ramadan, Express News reported.
According to the announcement, government offices operating on a five-day work week operate from 9am to 3pm. For offices after a six-day working week, working hours will be from 9am to 14:00.
In Fridays, all government offices will also operate from 9am to 12:30 pm to accommodate the Friday prayer break.
In addition, Pakistan Railways has also adjusted the working hours of reservation offices under Ramadan, which ensures smoother operations for passengers.
According to the Railway Administration’s announcement, reservation offices working in two shifts will follow new schedules:
Morning Shift: 07:30 to 12:30
Evening change: 12:30 am to 5:30 pm
On Fridays there will be a break from 1 p.m. 12.30am to 14.00 for Jumu’ah beans.
However, reservation offices operating on a single shift will maintain their existing schedule without any changes. These revised timings remain in effect until the 15th of Ramadan, after which all reservation offices will return to their standard operating time.
