Revolut plans to roll Bitcoin Lightning -Payments to Europe users via Lightspark

Digital Bank Revolut collaborates with Lightspark to roll Bitcoin (BTC) transactions on Lightning Network to customers in the UK and selected countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).

The feature is aiming to reduce transaction fees and payment processing time for crypto traps, Light Park said in a blog post. When the company was asked in an E email, the company did not specify the timeline of when the feature goes live.

Lightspark, led by former PayPal director David Marcus, gives backend infrastructure to what it calls the “Money Net” decentralized network to real-time global payments.

The Lightning network is a LAG-2 system built on top of Bitcoin Blockchain that allows almost instant, low-fee transactions. By connecting to the network through light kick, Revolut -Users will be able to bypass the overload and high fees for Basicblockchain to send BTC faster and more efficiently,

“Integration with Light Park is a natural step,” said Revolut’s crypto -genetic manager Emil Urmanshin in the post. “We always want to make financial services faster and more affordable – and their approach to global transactions allows us to do exactly that.”

Integration sets London-based revolutely among the growing number of fintech companies leaning into faster, crypto-native payment systems. Bitcoin-focused payments Firm Strike dealt with $ 6 billion in volumes last year, CEO Jack Mallers said in an investor letter divided into an X post last month.
