The WWE universe was left stunned on Tuesday when NXT wrapped its latest episode when Pro Wrestling -Super Star Ricky Starks showed up to the building to tackle the audience.

Starks were released from Al Elite-wrestling Monday after a month long absence. He had not been seen on AEW Television since March 30, 2024, when he and Big Bill lost a tag-team match to Dante and Darius Martin.

He appeared on a game change wrestling show on the American dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and then performances at the House of Glory last month. He won the defying World Cup last week against defending Master Kenta.

Then he was released. WWE didn’t seem to waste any time he should show up.

“Holy Crap!” NXT -tv company Vic Joseph said when Starks appeared in the crowd.

Fans present cheered Starks’ name as he approached them.

“It’s clear that you know who I am,” he said. “If NXT is the future of professional wrestling, guess well what? You need an absolute future superstar. If this is the hottest brand, you need the hottest free agent right now, baby.”

Starks’ performance in NXT is the latest example of a pro wrestler making a fantastic jump into a rival company.

Ethan Page performed at AEW until the summer of 2023, and then he was at Ring of Honor before joining WWE last year. Shawn Spears was with AEW from the launch in 2019 before joining WWE in February 2024 and began performing in NXT.

On the flip side were former WWE stars Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP among those recently shown in AEW following their departure from the Connecticut-based company.

It is unclear what influence Starks will do straight from bats. But it was clear that fans were excited about his arrival.
