Electric bicycle manufacturer Cowboy remembers the MRI edition of its penetrating C4 bikes, after identifying a problem with cracks forming in the frame after the bikes have been driven for a long period of time.
Cowboy 4, now named C4, is on our list of the best electric bikes you can buy in 2025, but some owners of the review (St) edition of the bike have noticed cracks that appear in the bike frame, as described in Reddit Post below.
Cowboy has said that this is a frame problem that arises after the bike has been run in about 2,500 km, where he says on his site that “these bikes, welded by a manufacturing partner, can develop fatigue cracks at the collection between Headtube and downtub.
“This question stems from a production deviation and does not reflect the standards we maintain. As rider security is our highest priority, we take proactive measures and have initiated a voluntary revocation of the framework affected.”
