Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty’s cause of death has been revealed!
The Diamonds Hitmaker’s father died due to serious illnesses and cancer on May 30, 2025 at the age of 70, shortly after he was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital.
Per. Death certificate it TMZ Achieved, Ronald’s cause of death was indicated as acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer and aspiration pneumonia – a bacterial pulmonary infection – as well as two kidney conditions: acute kidney failure and acute tubular necrosis.
Together with Rihanna, he is survived by the singer’s mother, Monica Braithwaite, his other daughters Kandi, 54, and Samantha Fenty, 44 and 35-year-old son Rorrey Fenty.
Ronald and Monica split in 2002, but raised their children in Bridgetown, Barbados, but the umbrella Hitmaker had a rocky relationship with her father as she grew up.
After she claimed that Ronald spoke to the press that she was assaulted by the then girlfriend, Chris Brown, in 2009, in the year that followed, Rihanna acknowledged that she had “repaired” her relationship with her father.
She said to Oprah Winfrey, “He taught me everything, and as awful as he was for my mother, at times it didn’t compare how big he was as a father.
“And I had to be expressed with it, and I was able to close that gap with him,” Rihanna concluded at the time.
