Riley Gaines sends warning to the Democrats, NCAA in the middle of battle for trans athletes

Former NCAA swimmer and outkick -host Riley Gaines delivered a message Wednesday to states defying President Donald Trump’s executive order to keep transnable athletes out of women and girls sports.

Gaines appeared on Pakinomist’ “The History of Martha McCallum” to praise US legal lawyer Pam Bondi to encourage states that have not complied with the order by threatening to withhold federal funding.

“The constitution is very aware that federal laws, such as section IX, take precedence for state laws,” Gaines said. “Even with President Trump back in the White House, the war against woke has not won yet.”

Bondi’s warning came on Tuesday when she warned California, Maine and Minnesota, who have openly defied Trump’s order that they will lose federal funding if they continue to allow trans athletes in girls sports.

Maine has become a battlefield on the question following a war of war between government manager Janet Mills and Trump on the issue. In addition, a Republican Maine state legislator, Rep. Laurel Libby, censored on Tuesday to get attention to the state with a social media post that called a transcend high school athlete who took first place in a girls -pole whale competition.

Gaines praised Libby and defended the legislature while condemning Mills on Wednesday.

“[Mills] Would rather lose over $ 5 billion in federal funds to send a message that boys deserve and have the right to trample on girls in the process, “Gaines said.” I praise and am so proud and so grateful for rep. Libby. And just look at this, see a female representative losing her ability to vote and speak on the house bound to defend girls and women.

“No, this didn’t happen in Afghanistan. This happened in America.”

In addition to Democrats in States such as Maine and California, NCAA has been criticized for its recent revision of its eligibility policy for complying with Trump’s order. Many critics, including Gaines, have pointed out that NCAA’s new policy does not take into account changed birth certificates, noting that 44 states in the United States allow gender to change birth certificates.

Apparel brand XX-Xy Athletics, for which Gaines is a brand ambassador, released a video ad Wednesday, containing several college women who spoke against NCAA for his policy, and insisted it did not go far enough.

“We collaborated with XX-XY athletics to release this ad directly to Message (NCAA president) Charlie Baker, directly to NCAA,” Gaines said. “They released a policy after President Trump’s executive order claiming to fall in line, but the NCAA policy is in direct conflict to Trump’s beautiful and thoroughly written executive order.”

Gaines travel to Minnesota next week to advocate for a state bill to ban transnry athletes in girls and women’s sports there.
