Riley Gaines swam from the infamous Alcatraz prison ashore, just as she did last year, but this time she made it 31 weeks pregnant.

This detail led to many bash gains on social media, but she had time on outkick’s “Gaines for Girls” podcast to shoot right back.

Gaines swam approx. 1.25 km along American Navy seals and fought veterans as well as her husband after receiving approval from her Obgyn.

She posted on social media a picture of herself after the swim and quickly received vitriol. She said the action “broke liberal minds.”

Then Gaines read aloud a few comments and gave her the acquisition of each.

“‘I assume it was a decision to put your baby on a risk of clicking,’ ‘Gaines read aloud. “I wonder where he got his doctorate. I didn’t know that Twitter had so many Obggyns or doctors who suddenly know more about pregnancy and exercise while I was pregnant than my OB did, who cleared me to do this.”

Another X user wrote, “Maybe not the best time to swim in the sea so lol, but what do I know.”

“Nothing,” Gaines repeated. “You know nothing, at least about pregnancy and exercise while you’re pregnant.”

Gaines read another comment that asked why she would think of doing this while she was pregnant.

“I think I feel so big and I have all the time because I’ve done things like this regularly, whether it’s being pregnant or not being pregnant,” Gaines said.

Finally, Gaines read his favorite answer.

“I love this one. This guy says – this is pretty amazing. He says, ‘Imagine the torturous, horrible conditions of the fetus. Breathing, muscles clamps, adrenaline overdose, massive pressure on the cervix, lap, sack and fetus

“First, my developing child in the uterus is not a fetus at this time. If she were to be born, obviously not ideal to be born nine weeks early, and no one is to say with certainty what will happen. But the viability is 24-ish weeks.”

Alcatraz was opened in 1934, but it didn’t even last three decades before the closure. Located on an island off the coast of San Francisco Bay, it was categorized as practically escape-resistant, although 14 documented attempts were made.

Among them were the Anglin brothers, John and Clarence, as well as Frank Morris, who tried to flee on June 11, 1962. It was later transformed into a movie, “Escape from Alcatraz,” as it remains a mystery today, whether they reached land and survived or drowned, as the FBI concluded because of harsh conditions.

Gaines hosts the podcast “Gaines for Girls” at Outkick, where she discusses what has happened to transcend people participating in girls and women’s sports.
