Riley Gaines wants Caitlin Clark, Simone Biles to stand against Trans -Athletes

The movement against transient athletes in women’s and girls sports has drawn support from the majority of Americans, politicians in power and even a niche consumer market. Now one of the leaders of this movement requires some large star -driven reinforcements.

Former NCAA swimmer and conservative influencer Riley Gaines have been one of the most active advocates of the movement going back to her notorious bond with transcend swimmer Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA championships. By 2024, Gaines became the first fire ambassador for the activist sports clothing brand XX-XY Athletics.

The brand gained prominent and profitability by becoming the first sports clothing company dedicated to promoting activism against transcend inclusion in women’s sports. It also created financial incentives for women’s college athletes across the country to take a stand on the question by signing with the brand.

Gaines believe that two stars can help drive the brand and movement to new heights.

“People who I think would be critical of this movement, of course, are people like Caitlin Clark, people like Simone Biles, who I think is a stretch, but these are women who have been able to blow up glass ceilings and break barriers who are role models for young girls across the country,” Gaines told Pakinomist Digital in an exclusive interview.

How transgenderism in sports changed the election in 2024 and ignited a national counterculture

“To have them emphatically say that they [trans athletes] Don’t belong to women’s sports would be, the question would be resolved across all levels that yesterday if they were willing to do this. ”

Gaines said it is “not as far out of reach” as it sounds because of a cultural change among Americans to protect women and girls from transient athletes.

XX-XY founder Jennifer Sey, a former American gymnast and Levi’s Executive, addressed Gaines’ pitch to Clark and Biles in a statement to Pakinomist Digital.

“We always encourage more female athletes to take part in the fight. And we would very much like to work with everyone who stands up for the integrity of women’s sports. We are in constant conversations with those who have stood up or are considering doing so,” Sey said. “We think this ends when the athletes defend women’s sports in large numbers.”

SEY earlier Fox Business told her brand a seven -digit profit in her first 10 months in 2024, but she still believes her brand lacks a superstar woman’s athlete as a fire ambassador.

“There is not a top-tier competitive female athlete or coach who has stood up for the protection of women’s sports,” Sey said.

Teenager girls open up on trans athlete scandal that made their high school a cultural war battlefield

“We don’t have anyone at the moment of competing top-tier athletes who have spoken out. I think it’s an illustration of how far we have to go. It should be normal for them to stand up and say, ‘I want to fight for the protection of women’s sports,’ and they haven’t because I think a lot of them are afraid of being called terrible names.”

Gaines and Sey say the brand is “in conversations” with prominent female athletes, including Olympi.

“They are in the works and (there are) conversations with many amazing athletes, Olympiers and beyond,” Gaines said.

A recent New York Times/Ipsos Survey Found the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transnry athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

“Thinking of Transgender female athletes – Meaning Athletes who were male at birth but who are currently identifying themselves as female – do you think they should or should be allowed to compete in women’s sports? “Asked the study.

Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% biological men who identify themselves as women said should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports.

Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democrat, 67%said transkon athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.

Nearly 70% of Americans say that biological men should not have permission to compete in women’s sports, according to a Gallup voting Last year.

In June 2024, a study performed by Norc at the University of Chicago The respondents asked if transient athletes of both genders should be allowed to participate in sport leagues that correspond to their preferred gender identity instead of their biological sex. In this study, 65%responded that it should never or rarely be allowed. When the respondents were asked specifically about adult transient female athletes competing in women’s sports, 69% opposite it.

However, resistance to conflicting trans-inclusion in women’s sports has led to harassment and even crime against athletes involved in the movement, including XX-XY Athletics brand ambassadors.

Former San Jose State University Women’s Volleyball Co Captain Brooke Slusser, who signed with the brand after talking to her school and NCAA, referring to her experience with the transient teammate Blaire Fleming in the fall, Pakinomist told Digital that she had to leave campus this semester after he was chiced and threatened to her faith.

Slusser’s former SJSU assistant coach, Melissa Batie-Smoose, who appeared in XX-Xy Athletics’ recent “We See You NCAA” advertisement, had her home shot in February and believes she was targeted to speak against the university’s alleged favoris to Fleming.

“It’s crazy what we’ve seen from the other side,” Gaines said. “But it doesn’t have the choke team as it once did.”
