The regular season of 2025 WNBA has entered its home hike. But before it reaches its conclusion, the league announced a record number of fans participating in games this season.
From Wednesday, “2,501,609 fans” WNBA games in person took on “participation in all the time,” the league said. The figure surpassed the previous brand set in 2002.
WNBA had 16 teams at that time, but currently consists of only 13 franchises. It also took WNBA 256 games to reach the milestone in 2002.

Popularity explosion in Women’s College Basketball, originally spurred by Caitlin Clark-Range Reese rivalization, transferred to WNBA last season when both players were rookies.

Sold-out arenas became the norm for Clark and Indiana Fever.

While Clark and Reese have both missed time due to injuries this season, ticket sales have not slowed down thanks to the arrival of Rookie -Guard Paige Bueckers in Dallas, the curiosity about the expansion of the Golden State Valkyries and expanded TV coverage.

The regular seasonal wrapping in mid -September. Minnesota Lynx has already clocked an playoffs, while Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun and Dallas Wings have already officially been eliminated from the autumn period.
