Robin Williams’ Popeye Film boss, Barry Diller revealed the shocking truth of filming the film.
The 82-year-old media mogul, who served as CEO of Paramount Pictures from 1974 to 1984, had a conversation with journalist Anderson Cooper while promoting her autobiography, Who knewrevealed that there was so much cocaine on the set of popeye “You couldn’t escape it.”
“Film cans would be sent to La Daily to treat the movie. And we found that the movie cans were actually used to send cocaine back and forth to the set. Everyone was stoned,” he admitted.
Diller added that the influence of the fabric may be visible in the last scene of the movie and said, “Think of … record speeds. If 33 rpm is the standard speed of playing an LP on a turntable, this is a movie running at 78 rpm.”
