Robinhood (HOOD) have introduced microfutures on Bitcoin
Solana and XRP in the United States., Expansion of the existing Crypto Futures offering to its nearly 26 million financed accounts.
Micro -contracts need far less collateral than full -size futures, allowing dealers to take directional positions while committing a smaller capital disc.
The contracts give dealers more flexibility to bet on the future price direction of a cryptocurrency or hedge current positions considering their smaller size.
The launch ends a futures suite that began with BTC and ETH in January. It also comes weeks after the company closed its $ 200 million purchase of Bitstamp and ended a $ 179 million deal for Canada’s Wonderfi.
Robinhood’s data shows that crypto -perception volumes have exploded upwards over time and reached $ 11.7 billion in May. The figure marks a 36% increase month-over month and a growth of 65% year over year.
