Roger Clemens responded to President Donald Trump’s push for New York Yankees, who are big to be introduced in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Trump wrote in a post on social media on Sunday and said there was “no evidence” that Clemens was a steroid cheating and that the question must not wait to be resolved when the two-time world champion dies when he compared the situation with Pete Rose.

Clemens wrote on X that he had a good time golfing with the president and his son, Kacy.
“I appreciate love! DT knows more than anyone the fake news that is out there,” Clemens wrote. “Everyone has their agendas … I played the game to change my family’s direction in general and win!”
Trump demanded Clemens be selected for Hall of Fame “Now.”
“I played golf yesterday with the big Roger Clemens and his son, Kacy. Roger Clemens was easily one of the few biggest pitchers of all time and won 354 matches, Cy Young Award seven times (a record, a lot!), And played in six World Series and won two!” Trump wrote. “He became number two to Nolan Ryan in most strikes, and he was to be in the baseball hall of fame, now! People think he was taking drugs but nothing was proven. He never tested positively, and Roger, right from the beginning, completely denies it. He was just as great before the erroneous charges were levels.

“This will be like Pete Rose, where after over 4,000 hits they would not put him in the Hall of Fame until I talked to the Commissioner, and he promised to do so, but it was essentially a promise that was not held because he only ‘opened it up’ when Pete died, and even then he said that Pete Rose only came into the mixture.
Clemens was also an 11-time all-star. He had 4,672 strikes in his career.
He was claimed in the Mitchell report for having used anabolic steroids during his career. He was also found not guilty of six counts of lying to Congress in 2012. He has maintained that he has never used steroids.
The claims have largely kept him out of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
He needed 75% of the votes from baseball authors to be written down in Cooperstown, but received only 61.6% of the votes and fell off the ballot. To eventually enter the Baseball Hall of Fame, he had to be selected through today’s game selection.

Trump urged MLB to remove Pete Rose from the forbidden list after he admitted to betting on baseball. Eventually, MLB committed commissioner Rob Manfred, and he is now eligible for induction in the Hall of Fame.
