Ron Howard just opened about his bond with Henry Winkler and if they came together right away while working on Happy days.
In a talk with PEOPLE Magazine at WSJ Future of Everything Event Wednesday, May 28 at The Glasshouse in New York City reflected the 71-year-old American filmmaker and actor playing Richie in the classic sitcom in 1974, over his amazing ties with Winkler, who portrayed the role of Fonzie.
Howard said, “We clicked. We – Henry Winkler and I – immediately clicked on a kind of professional level, but I also looked up to him.”
Da Vinci code Star continued to share that the one thing he liked about the 79-year-old American actor and film producer was that he was very different from other Hollywood people he knew at the time.
Howard said, “Henry is a few years older than I am. Yale educated and he looked to act in a way that was – it wasn’t Hollywood.”
When he expanded this, he explained, “It was a little more intellectual. It was theater -based and it was new to me. But more than anything else, we just got together beautifully and worked well together.”
It’s relevant to mention that their friendship was getting stronger over many years and Henry Winker helped get Ron Howard’s 1982 movie Night change “Green Listed.”
