Royal Family destroys state money with their lavish shenanigans, an expert claims.
Norman Baker, who wrote to Mirrror, has accused King Charles and his clan of abusing public money and splurious taxpayer.
He writes: “Buckingham Palace pretends that Royalsare is cautious with public money. What does Hogwash say. They even have the cheek to suggest that Charles is generous because he only takes 12% of income for Crown Estate.”
The expert adds: “Reality Check: Crown Estate has been a public body since 1760, and until 2011 100% of its profits went to the Treasury to pay for schools, hospitals, defense and yes, disability benefits. These 12% are a new royal tax on the public purse.”
“The shocking truth is that Royals really don’t care how much public money they spend. Last year, they ran up an incredible bill for the taxpayer of almost £ 1.2 million on charter flights just within the UK to places as difficult to reach as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle,” he continued.
The expert noticed, “And does not give us lecture on climate change, thank you when you are in the top 1% of the world’s emitters.”
