Kansas City Royals -Star Bobby Witt Jr. Competed for Team USA under the World Baseball Classic in 2023, and the Americans almost won the tournament but lost to Japan.
It was Witt’s first time representing the United States at the World Baseball Classic scene. He had already helped Team USA win gold in Pan American Baseball Confederation 2018 (now known as WBSC Americas) tournament.

It meant a lot to witt to play with the red, white and blue on the chest.
“It was special, it was an honor,” he told Mookie Betts at Los Angeles Dodgers Star’s “On Base” podcast. “Just being able to do it and be around you, see what it’s like to be around the stars of the game and just how they work, how they talk about the game in the cage.

“It’s just like I felt like I was just, I was there, but it was like, I felt like I was part of it because of how in guys treated me, and treated the other guys in there, and the biggest thing I took away from it was all just to win, and that was what they can do to win, and it’s like very unequal guys and just the clubhouse, all of all, all of them all, a pile of the world. Just to see how these guys work and there is a reason why they are studs how they are.
Witt performed in five matches in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and had a hit in two bats.
He will make his third team the US performance in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

From Monday, the Infielder led the American League MVP-Runner-Up Majors in double (30) and hit .292 with a .837 ops and 12 home runs.
