- Nvidias RTX 5050 GPU has been viewed in games -Arable computers along with RTX 5060
- Inbound HP Victus 15 Notebooks include these Blackwell GPUs
- RTX 5050 is probably a graphics card with only laptop, as with the previous Lovelace generation
Away from the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, and the continued stock winners around these GPUs, we have seen another view of the RTX 5050 (and 5060) at the other end of the Blackwell-Line-Up.
In this case, however, this is mobile graphics cards for notebooks, not desktop models.
Videocardz managed to grab a specification sheet for HP’s Victus 15 (Model FA2) Gaming -Bearing computers, which reveal that these devices will contain NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5050.
This seems to confirm the existence of these graphics cards, but as always, we need to be careful about leaked material that may prove to use outdated information (or even be counterfeit).
The new Victus 15 spec also has Intel’s 13-generation CPUs that complement the Blackwell-Laptop GPUs with sufficient treatment power for good performance. However, this is in contrast to the higher end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080-powered laptops that will use some of Intel’s newer core-ultra processors.
Note that both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 GPUs are not officially confirmed by NVIDIA (for stationary PCs or laptops) and they were missing from the Blackwell messages made on CES 2025.
Of course, they seem to be coming at some point, but the RTX 5050 is likely to be a portable GPU based on the rumors we’ve heard so far. (They are about the mobile part and there is nothing that really suggests a desktop graphics card – even if it does not exclude the opportunity).
RTX 5050 GPU has a trump card in DLSS 4
Considering the RTX 5050s (as I repeat Isn’t it Officially confirmed by Nvidia) Position as the lowest tier option for a Blackwell gpu, it will meet some tough competition. Especially from AMDS Strix Halo APUS, which packs some serious grunts with their integrated graphics for gaming -laptops (or handheld).
However, Nvidia has a secret weapon here – namely DLSS 4, which will definitely come to give the RTX 5050 some more oomph. I have already highlighted how much of a gambling select the scaling up technology is, improved by jumps and boundaries thanks to its new transformer model and multi frame generation (MFG) that improves image stability and quality and increases image speeds respectively. (With PC games that of course support the technology).
It is not to say that the RTX 5050 does not work well enough in a resolution like 1080p, but reports suggest that it will only use 8 GB of Vram, which now looks shaking to AAA games today (and determined in the future) . The old frame generation technology introduced with RTX 4000 GPUs had ghost problems combined with input latency headaches – these disadvantages have both been improved with MFG.
For those on a budget, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050-powered HP Victus 15 gaming-laptop can end up being a reasonable option.
