- A new rumor about Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s first trailer is circulating online
- Speculations are rife that the teaser will be released in mid-March
- The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will be released on July 31st
Brace yourselves, fellow webheads, because we can finally, finally watch the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day very soon.
After months of speculation, it looks like the Sony and Marvel movie’s first teaser will drop in the coming days. In fact, the rumor mill has gone into overdrive once again, with several insiders suggesting a new trailer launch date of Wednesday, March 18.
Now, before we continue, I want to emphasize that this is just a rumor. There have been plenty of them about the arrival of Spider-Man 4‘s trailer, so this is by no means a confirmation that it will premiere on the aforementioned date.
The article continues below
Industry insiders Grace Randolph and Alex Perez – whose track records are admittedly not the best – have hinted that the film’s first footage will be revealed publicly in the near future. And with a more reputable leaker in the form of Crypic4KQual suggesting that there is some substance to the March 18th rumor (see below), I pray that these claims are correct.
If — and again, it’s still a big if at this stage — the Marvel Phase 6 movie’s first trailer debuts next week, it will mark the end of what has been a trying time for Spider-Man fans who have been desperate to see some footage.
Last December, an extremely low quality version of the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leaked online. In the wake of the said leak, there were some theorists that Sony would immediately release a high-definition version to fix the leak.
Long story short: it didn’t. However, when another Spider-Man 4 The trailer rumor surfaced online in January, giving fans new hope that Sony was preparing to release the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie’s first teaser. But again the date passed, it was claimed to be released on January 19th – without incident.
With Marvel and Sony also later confirming it Brand new day‘s trailer would not be shown at this year’s Super Bowl, fans have grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of footage. After all, Spider-Man 4 will be released on July 31st, so there’s not long left before the hype train leaves the station and picks up speed.
However, there is reason to be optimistic about this latest round of speculation. Sony’s Next Big Movie Release — Project Hi Mary — will be released in cinemas from March 18. The Ryan Gosling-led sci-fi flick shouldn’t need much help getting pimples on the seats — read my Project Hi Mary review to find out why – but shows Brand new days initial teaser ahead of it would be a surefire way to get some wallcrawlers into their local theater to see said trailer and movie. Let’s hope this rumor has some truth to it.
