Wilson has been one of the more vocal Christian quarterbacks in the NFL throughout his career.

His successor in Dart is also a devoted Christian. Dart is only the third Mormon quarterback in NFL history and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the Latter Days.

Wilson gave his thoughts about Dart’s ability compared to Wilson’s as a rookie when he surpassed the former veteran -quarterback Matt Flynn from Seattle Seahawks To win the starting job.

“I think Jaxson is a really good worker. He is a really good teammate. He is a guy who has had a really good college career,” Wilson said in July.

Wilson signed a 1-year-old, $ 21 million contract with the team during the high season, while Dart was elected by the team with the 25th gathering election in the NFL draft after trade back to the first round to get quarterback.

When Wilson overtook Flynn as Seattle’s starting quarterback in 2012, Flynn had just signed a three -year contract of $ 26 million. Wilson, a rookie, had been selected in the third round of this year’s draft, but ended up beating the veteran for the starting job before week 1. Wilson led Seahawks to an 11-5 record and a playoff victory in his first year before led the team to a Super Bowl victory the following season in 2013.

Now Wilson is at the other end of that dynamic and sees the younger darts rise, while Giants’ starts this week against Los Angeles Chargers.

And both will probably lean on their faith to reach it through this transition.
