Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, has rejected media reports claiming that Russia has found proof that Pakistan is supplying weapons to Ukraine.
In a special interaction with the Express Tribunes Peshawar office, Khorev said: “We have found no evidence of Pakistani weapons supplies in the Ukraine-Russia conflict. All such claims are baseless.”
At Regional Security, Khorev recognized that Afghanistan’s efforts to fight militant conditions were inadequate, but attributed this to financial challenges and prevailing security conditions in the country.
He identified ISIS as the biggest threat to Russia’s national and regional security, saying that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation and working with regional partners under the “quartet” format to counter terrorism.
Khorev also highlighted Russia’s cooperation with regional countries under the collective security treaty organization (CSTO) to eliminate militant conditions. He confirmed Moscow’s support to Pakistan, Afghanistan and other regional states to tackle militant threats.
