Ryan Gosling shocks fans with new move after ‘Project Hail Mary’ success

Ryan Gosling has stunned fans with his latest career twist after massive box office success with his film Project Hi Mary.

Gosling had locked in to star in the untitled Universal Pictures project, directed by Oscar-winning duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Everything everywhere at once).

The film, teased as a “fun sci-fi action comedy with a big heart,” was set to begin production this summer in Los Angeles, bolstered by a multimillion-dollar California tax credit.

Gosling’s casting was celebrated as a major victory, especially after his global box office triumph in Project Hi Mary.

But in a dramatic twist, Weekly entertainment revealed that Eva Mendes’ partner has left the project.

After the tax credit, the production could not change its shooting dates, and Gosling’s packed schedule could not accommodate the dates, as it already includes Tough guys with Will Ferrell and Star Wars: Starfighter.

Daniels remains attached to direct and produce under their Playgrounds banner, while Jonathan Wang produces.

However, Gosling’s departure has fans wondering who will replace him.
