Ryan Reynolds paid tribute to Green day When the rock band was honored by the prestigious five-tip star.
On Thursday, May 1 in Los Angeles, the rock band with members Mike Dirnt, Billie Joe Armstrong and three cool was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame according to San Francisco Chronicle.
At the event Deadpool & Wolverine Actor took a moment to pay tribute to the member of the band.
“These guys, they live in the intersection of both nostalgia and evolution,” Reynolds said.
“I don’t think a band like this remains together in this way and is this productive for this long without integrity,” he praised.
Ryan concluded by saying, “I think it’s like the cornerstone of what they are.”
It is relevant to mention that the band’s hit from 1997 Good riddance were shown in Reynolds’ recently Deadpool film.
The band member said jokingly on stage that the event “kind of like being at your own funeral.”
“This is for my mother,” he added. “This is like my mother’s Super Bowl right now.”
