Unruly fan behavior was the Ryder Cup as European golfers took the heads of Heckling from US fans at Bethpage Black in New York.

Some fans may have gone across the line with their song against Rory McIlroy. Fans fired several explosives against him over the weekend. It became intense Saturday when McIlroy refused to putt until fans were cleared down.

Europe eventually won the Ryder Cup on Sunday, but it was the outbreak of the gallery that was still a warm topic of conversation. Golfinfluener Paige Spiranac wrote on X that there was no place for these types of events.

“Unfortunately, I am not shocked by fan behavior at the Ryder Cup because it has become the norm at most sporting events, and in my opinion it is necessary to change across all sports,” she wrote.

Spiranac remembered to go to a football match where she had a dubious experience.

“I was recently on a football game, and this man in front of me was disgustingly intoxicated, the most weak s shouting-to players and opposite fans in the stands, wasting his drink everywhere and would fight for people, and it ruined the experience for me and everyone around him,” she wrote.

“What was interesting was that his young (maybe 7 years old) nephew was right next to him listening to everything. At one point the child began copying him and shouting the same things, and the family laughed. This behavior is taught.”

Spiranac added that she did not expect anyone to sit still during a sporting event, but there was no room for continuously crossing the line.

“I’m not saying you have to sit still. You can have passion, get rid of, have fun quarrel, have fun at the event or the game, but there is a line and it is crossed so many times now.”
