Ryder Cup Player not impressed with Trump’s participation in the event

President Donald Trump is intended to attend the first day of this weekend’s Ryder Cup on Bethpage Black Friday.

Team USA Captain Keegan Bradley revealed that he will be on the first tee and could hardly contain his enthusiasm.

However, a member of Team Europe does not seem to care too much.

“It’s just another spectator,” said Scotland’s own Robert Macintyre.

Macinty was asked about Trump’s Scottish heritage (he owns the famous turnberry course) and how excited he was over Trump who came to People’s Country Club.

But he is just focused on 18 holes.

“Again, I’m just playing golf. I don’t – politics and things are out of my mind. I mean, I’m not light enough to be to worry about politics,” said macinty. “I worry more about what’s going on this week on the golf course. Yes, as European we have a job to do, and yes, try to compete as hard as we can and hopefully win the Ryder Cup.”

Ryder Cup 2025: 4 of the tournament’s most intense moments

The Ryder Cup will be the third sporting event Trump will have participated in September, all in New York.

Trump was present for the Men’s US Open final on September 7 and participated in a New York Yankees game against Detroit Tigers four days later, 24 -year anniversary for September 11.

World # 1 Scottie Scheffler said Trump’s arrival on Friday will be “extremely important” after a “tough couple of weeks.”

“Having the president here, it’s been a tough couple of weeks for our country with some of the things that have been going on and having our president here and for us to represent the United States of America, albeit to be in a golf tournament, is extremely important to us and we are happy Bethpage Tuesday.
