Saints acquiring Star Defender Justin Reid: Reports

New Orleans Saints Week got off to a relatively quiet start, but the franchise quickly started making noise. On Tuesday, several reports stated that the franchise made a big splash by landing Justin Reid.

The star’s defensive back and the saints reached an agreement for a three -year contract, according to ESPN. Reid spent the last three seasons of chiefs, but went into the free agent market after he didn’t seem to be part of Kansas City’s future plans. Reid won a pair of Super Bowls during his three-year-old stint with chiefs.

Reid played college football in Stanford before Houston Texans chose him in the third round of 2018 NFL Draft. He left Houston after the 2021 season and joined Chiefs.

Reid and Chiefs briefly came up in search of winning three consecutive Super Bowls. Eagles dominated Chiefs in the Super Bowl Lix last month. The 40-22 win marked the second time in the story that Eagles won Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The saints also signed the tight end Juwan Johnson for a three -year extension of $ 30.75 million that could grow to $ 34.5 million with incentives, Agent AJ Vayerchuk said.

Johnson entered the NFL as a recipient with New Orleans in 2020 and was transformed into a tight end in 2022 when he caught a career-best seven touchdown passport. He has played in 67 games with 34 starts. He has 1,622 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns.
