Salma Hayek remembers Frida Kahlo in a gripping note.
The actress went to her Instagram account on September 29 to look back on the tragic accident that took place 100 years ago that changed Frida’s life forever.
“In September 1925, 100 years ago … 18 years old, Frida Kahlo’s life changed forever due to a tragic bus accident. Her body was left with unimaginable injuries and she spent months limited to her bed,” tied salma.
She also sent a Frida photo in real life with her portrayal as the Mexican artist.
Salma continued to write, “In that loneliness, with a mirror over her and a brush in her hand, Frida began exploring her inner world. What began as a way of enduring the pain became her greatest gift to us, art that speaks of strength, identity and resilience.”
“Her heritage reminds us that even in our most difficult moments, beauty and courage can occur #frida #fridakahlo,” she concluded.
For the unwarterized, Salma played the role of Frida in her biographical film, FridaPublished in 2002.
