Sam Menzin’s Tigers -Descents Due to Creepy Photos Sent To Women: Report

Sam Menzin is the former assistant general manager of Detroit Tigers after withdrawing this last Thursday, and now there may be a reason why it happened.

Menzin withdrew before the team could shoot him because of unsolicited photos of his genitals sent to former female employees of the team, Athletic reported.

The tigers did not specify why Menzin withdrew from his position.

Two former female employees told The Athletic that Menzin sent the pictures to them via Snapchat, Social Media Picture and Video app, which allows auto-cut messages. He did it several times going back to 2017.

Menzin had told the business that he was going back to New York to deal with “some family problems” while also mentioning he was looking for a career change.

The tigers released a statement via it as part of the report.

“When he was made aware of the claims of Sam Menzin’s behavior, the club immediately completed an investigation,” the tigers said in the statement. “Before the club could end Mr. Menzin, he retired. This type of behavior is in violation of our standards and has absolutely no place in our organization. We have a positive and safe culture for our colleagues and will continue to emphasize respect, inclusion and professionalism.”

In addition, another woman who worked for MLB – not Tigers – the Athletic Menzin had also sent her unsolicited messages about her genitals on Snapchat between 2018 and 2019.

Given the time frame for the alleged messages, a woman commented on why she was talking about Menzin now.

“It’s like no one is saying anything because who will believe them when they say that Sam Menzin was doing this?” Said the woman. “It’s not like a bat boy or security guard. It’s Sam Menzin.”

The woman added it because there were so few women working in the Tigers’ Front Office, “It always felt to say that something was not an opportunity, for who is going to believe you and do something about it?”

Menzin had been with Tigers for 13 years, starting as baseball operations in 2012 and working up to a strong executive position he was in. He was also interned with the New York Mets and Turner-Gary Sports.

Mezin has not commented on the claims.
