Social media influencer Samiya Hijab and Hassan Zahid, who are the suspect in her abduction case, have reached a settlement outside the court, sources said on Saturday.
Complaints Hijab did not appear during today’s hearing, while Zahid’s lawyers withdrew bail from the Magistrate Court, referring to jurisdiction and presenting new ones in the district and Sessions Court in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, additional sessions Amir Zia issued announcements to both parties and postponed the case until September 15.
A day earlier, the local court sent the federal capital Zahid to prison on the jail in custody in the Hijab Abduction case.
Zahid was produced for court-magistrate Yasir Mahmood, where police sought a five-day physical custody for further investigation.
However, the court rejected the police request and sent the suspect to prison for legal custody.
The Islamabad-based influencer on social media had claimed that Zahid-as she had been in a relationship, had harassed her for months with threats and demands to marry him.
In a video that was broadcast on Instagram, where she has a consequence of nearly 850,000, she claimed he appeared outside her residence, grabbed her phone and tried to force her into his car.
“My mother was sick, my brother wasn’t home. When I stepped outside, he caught my mobile, sat in his car and forced me in too,” said Samiya, who is also a popular face on Tiktok.
Hijab appealed to Islamabad -Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on protection while praising police for registering her complaint and moving quickly.
