- Galaxy Buds FE 2 archives have been viewed in the US (FCC) and India (BIS)
- As per FCC certification ‘Galaxy Buds Core’ could be their name
- Details of the FCC archiving even suggests double ribbon Wi-Fi (up to 5.8 GHz)
We had read reports on a new set of galaxy earplugs in ‘Advanced Development’, but now they have actually been seen – on two official certification sites. But is it just a case of another day, another set of affordable earplugs spotted in nature?
Well, no, because a) September 2023 was a long time ago, and that was the initial (and honestly disappointing) Samsung Galaxy Bud Fe launched, and (b) the American list mentions double band Wi-Fi up to 5.8 GHz.
If it is true (and as stained by 91 mobiles, many thanks for that), it would bring Samsung’s typically cheaper end-pro ‘fan-edition’ buds up in line with Xiaomis buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi-AS can be yours for a Cool $ 239 / £ 189 / AU $ 385 (or theaabouts).
But Samsung’s original knobs fe sold for only $ 99 / £ 99 / AU $ 149, so certainly not? Then again, when ‘Fan Edition’ has come to mean everything that will play particularly well with your Samsung Galaxy phone and ecosystem, much not much else, it would certainly fit the bill. For clarity, Xiaomi’s list of compatible smartphone source devices for its Wi-Fi-Toting knobs is currently limited to its own Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, so buying a smartphone from another manufacturer after purchasing Xiaomi knobs? Strongly discouraged.
Samsung Galaxy Buds FE 2: What we know so far
We do not have one, but two credible galaxies FE 2 or ‘Bud Core’ sources now: Bureau of India Standards (BIS), as discovered by Sammobile, and the Federal Communications Commission (an independent US government agency, usually called FCC).
Although we do not see any design or price specifications, the model name is still SM-R410, which is linked to previous reports relating to the bud FE 2. That said, the marketing name is on the FCC list ‘Samsung Galaxy Bud Core’. A new naming strategy for Samsung? We wait and see-but no matter what the moniker is, they will almost certainly be successors to Entry-Level Bud FE.
Specifications in the FCC archiving suggest a 200 mAh battery in the buds with a charging case that houses a 500mAh power pack. Given that the original Galaxy Buds FE’s case wore a 479mAh battery (to boast of a maximum 30-hour playing time with the knobs) It is a nice update ice cream when you consider that in Xiaomi’s recent two-strong knobs pro 5-release, the buds that boast wi-fi-support, had a better battery requirement even Bluetooth set.
That’s right! Of crucial importance, the US list also mentions connection options with double band Wi-Fi (up to 5.8 GHz frequency) and because the older siblings in September 2023 editions wore 5.2, we would expect Bluetooth 5.3 at least at this time.
Will they arrive with Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 on Samsung’s next Galaxy -Packed Event – which we would expect to happen some time in July? It’s impossible to be safe, but right now it definitely looks like that.
