- Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may have the same 200MP sensor as its predecessor but with a new lens
- The phone apparently will also again be missing a magnetic ring to Qi2
- S pen and its slot will allegedly remain but a subsequent model may be missing an S pen -slot
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is still far away yet, but we are starting to hear a lot of things about it, with the latest information that sheds light on the possible camera, charging capabilities and s pen.
All this comes from Tipster @pandaflashpro (via notebookcheck), which – in a series of posts on X – shared different details about the phone. According to them, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will again have a 200-megapixel main camera. In fact, it seems to have exactly the same sensor, but with “updated pixels” and a new lens.
So it should create a small upgrade to the main camera, but probably no significant changes.
Received just other prototype information and that device also has the same sensor size as HP2, which means Samsung is trying to reuse HP2 again with just updated pixels and a new lens. https://t.co/lkypunmbrn6 April 2025
Yes to s pen, no to magnets
Lack of significant changes is something of a theme for this series leaks, as the same source also says that S pen and its dedicated castle will remain, which may be surprising, but they notice that future models may not have a slot for stylus.
And they also say that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will not have a magnetic ring to use with QI2 charging and magnetic accessories. This is the same situation as with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which allows you to use these features, but only if you put the phone in a compatible case where the magnets are built into the case rather than the phone.
With the possible exception of trenching the pen slot in a future model, none of this is surprising. But we will still take it with a pinch of salt, especially since the source does not yet have much of a track record.
And although the leaks above suggest that not much changes on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, some other aspects of it could be, with previous leaks pointing to a variable opening camera, a larger battery and a massive benefit jump.
