- A tipster has claimed that Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra can come with shrunken bezels
- This could allow for a 7-inch screen on the rumored flagship phone
- The Tipster also suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not get a camera under-display
It’s been a busy year for Samsung already with the release of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, an updated row of mid -class handsets and the reveal of the still Mysterious Galaxy S25 Edge.
However, it has not stopped speculation about the future of Samsung’s mobile portfolio, not least about next year’s rumors of the highest end model, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. In fact, a new rumor suggests that one of the most impressive aspects of the Galaxy S25 Ultra could get even better with its next iteration.
According to Tipster Pandaflash, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could contain even thinner frames than its current gene counterpart. The frame from the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra was already visibly reduced from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, enabling the newer phone to achieve a screen size of 6.9 inch without a noticeable change of its overall dimensions.
If Samsung is able to achieve a similar improvement this year, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could be the first modern flagship plate to have a 7-inch screen.
As Sammyfans notes, Pandaflash suggested to the frame reduction in the response section in a post about the rumor Galaxy S26’s selfie camera.
Although other rumors had pointed to the chance of an under-display camera (UDC) for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Pandaflash seems firm that this will not happen.
As the post (and our Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 review) notes, an UDC cannot offer the same performance as a regular punch-hole-self-camera, which is such a good reason as anyone to stop implementing one.
Pandaflash did not offer much in the way of context or sources of these claims-we have reported their tips before the Galaxy S25 Ultra release, but these were not quite on the money. It is worth taking these new rumors with a healthy do about skepticism.
With it all, there is nothing for Outlandish by suggesting that Samsung could possibly reduce the Galaxy S26 Ultras Bezels and fit it with a regular selfie camera -we are not talking about a drastic redesign or internal revision here, and they are still likely to be one of the best Samsung phones at the launch.
What would you like to see from Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra? Would a thinner frame be reason enough to upgrade? Tell us that in the comments.
