- Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could have a wider aperture to two of its cameras
- It can also be thinner and lighter than the S25 Ultra and has faster charging
- The most important sensor may not change and there are discrepancies as to whether the battery will rise in size
There has been a flurry of the Samsung Galaxy S26 ultra rumors in the last day or so, and they are largely promising – pointing to improved cameras, higher charging speeds and more, but there are some elements for the tips that sound less positive.
From the cameras, the reputation of Tipster @universeice has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a new lens with a wider aperture for its most important 200MP camera. This should especially improve low -light photos, but they suggest that all kinds of photos taken with this lens will benefit, with this apparently being “the most obvious upgrade since the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.”
So it certainly sounds promising, although what is less promising is that this new lens apparently won’t be paired with a new sensor where Isocell HP2 is allegedly used again.

The same source has made several other allegations of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra over on the Chinese social media site Weibo, including that its 50mp 5X telecamera also apparently has a wider aperture than on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
In the same place, they have also said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be less than 8 mm thick, which is down from 8.2 mm for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Apparently, it will also be a few grams lighter than the 218g Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Faster charging and a discussed capacity
Unfortunately, however, Samsung cannot leave room for a larger battery, with this source, which also claims that 5,000 mAh will again enter. But at least it will at least charge a higher 60W – up from 45W on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
And there is some disagreement about the battery side of things, with Leaker @chunvn8888, which claims that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will actually have a larger 5,500mAh battery and 65W charging.
They also have a solid track record, although Samsung’s apparent reluctance to go over 5,000 mAh batteries, we suspect @universeice is right in this case.
We probably find out at the beginning of 2026, as it is when the entire Samsung Galaxy S26 line is likely to be launched.
