Samsung Galaxy Z-FLIP 7 could be one of the best-selling collapsible phones in 2025 that goes for previous form as Samsung’s foldable flip phones combine a compact form factor with a more reasonable price than its Z Fold line, making them to a popular choice. So will this trend continue to 2025?
Well, nothing about Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been confirmed yet, but it will definitely start to leak. So below you will find all the news, leaks and rumors we have heard of this folding challenger so far.
We also update this article when new rumors emerge, so be sure to check back soon if you want to stay informed.
Cut to the hunt
- What is it? The next clam shell foldable from Samsung
- When is it out? Probably July
- How much does it cost? Probably up to $ 1,099.99 / £ 1,049 / AU $ 1,799
Look for it in July
- Based on previous form it is likely to be launched in July
- Could cost the same as last year
Our best guess when the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is launched is July when the previous two models had July messages and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 was also sent in July.
That said, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 was shipped in August by its release year and Z Flip 4 was not even announced until August. Still, if not July we will probably see Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 in August.
There is not much in the way of the release date of release, but @pandaflashpro has claimed that the production of Samsung’s upcoming foldable starts in May, which is likely to work for a publication of July or August.
And sources have also seen both a Galaxy Z-FLIP 7 code name (specifically ‘B7’) and a Galaxy Z Flip 7 model number (SM-F751), which at least suggests that this phone is in the works.
We have also heard that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 may have the same starting price as Galaxy Z Flip 6. That would mean a starting price of $ 1,099.99 / £ 1,049 / AU $ 1,799.
Can you trust these rumors?
The source that claims that production starts in May and prices will be unchanged does not have much of a track record, so we will take this with a pinch of salt. Either way, however, we would think that a launch in July or August is likely.
Larger screens and a better hinge
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 may have larger screens than its predecessor
- It may also have a better hinge mechanism
We do not have to rely solely on rumors when it comes to the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, which Samsung himself has said during a earnings call (via @jukanlosreve) that this year “We will release new foldable products with improved form factors, durability , “So while Z -FLIP 7 was not named, one of the units to which the company is referring is.
In addition, we have heard that the Galaxy Z -Flip 7 may have larger screens than its predecessor, with a source that claims that the collapsible display will be 6.85 inches (up from 6.7 inches) and the tire screen will be about 4 inches (up (up from 3.4 inches).
Also on the design front, Leaker @pandaflashpro claims that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7’s hinge mechanism will be more smooth and durable and that the location button will be the same as last year.
Can you trust these rumors?
So far, the design comes from all only from one source each, so we would take them with a dose of skepticism. Although the allegations of larger screens come from a source with a good track record, so much can be true.
If nothing else, however, Samsung’s own comments strongly suggest that we will see some changes in the design.
Copying the cameras
- The cameras may not get an upgrade
- That would mean a 50MP head, 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP selfie camera
There is only one Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 camera leakage so far and it is not very promising as apparently this phone will have exactly the same cameras as Z Flip 6. It would mean a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-covering, and a 10MP front facing.
In that case, it would be pretty disappointing, so we hope that subsequent camera leaks disagree with this.
Still, if nothing else, the software is likely to be improved and we expect to see new AI photography tools as well.
Can you trust these rumors?
As we have only heard camera calculations from a source so far, we would take them with a pinch of salt. That said, it is credible that Samsung would not improve the cameras, especially when the Samsung Galaxy S25 cameras were not upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S24’s.
An exynos -chipset and no change to ram
- Probably used an exynos 2500 -chipset
- Can match its predecessor’s ram and storage
There is potentially bad news when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7’s chipset, which according to a rumor, it will have an Exynos 2500.
It is set to be Samsung’s most powerful internal smartphone chipset on 2025, and will almost certainly surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used by Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. But based on previous form It probably won’t be a fight for Snapdragon 8 Elite used by the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, and that’s what we hoped would run the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
In addition, we have heard elsewhere that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could have 12 GB of RAM and a choice of 256 GB or 512 GB of storage – specifications that are identical to the current model.
Finally, Leaker @pandaflashpro has posted on X and says the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a larger steam chamber than Z -Flip 6, which can help it keep cool and therefore avoid throttling.
It can also help the life of the battery, but we have not yet heard anything about the phone’s battery. For reference, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 4,000 mAh battery, so we would expect the Z -Flip 7s to be at least that size.
Can you trust these rumors?
All of these specifications have each been given only by a source, so we would take them all with a pinch of salt for now, though there is nothing incredible here.
Hopefully though Samsung will either equip the phone with a Snapdragon 8 -elitchyped or give it more than 12 GB of RAM – or both. But that’s just our hope, not a prediction.
