Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could get a welcome upgrade to a crucial bit of hardware over the current GEN GALAXY Z Flip 6 if a new rumor is to believe.
According to the Dutch location Galaxyclub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is sent with a 4,300mAh battery, up from the 4,000 mAh battery in Galaxy Z Flip 6.
If this rumor is worn out, it would mark the second 300mAh lift in so many years for Samsung’s most accessible folding when the Galaxy Z Flip 5 was launched with a 3,700mAh battery back in 2023.
Battery improvements of all kinds are particularly welcome to fold phones that can struggle to give the same lifetime as their candy bar colleagues due to the inherent inefficiency by dividing a battery cell between the two (or more when we start to see tri-folding devices) parts of the phone.
In fact, our Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 review found that the phone’s battery was a rare disadvantage of an otherwise impressive capable handset.
Galaxyclub notes that the nominal capacity of the nominal capacity of the phone is likely to be lower at around 4,174mAh due to the way battery capacity is announced. It is still an improvement in the Galaxy Z -Flip 6, as the report says had a nominal capacity of 3,887mAh.
As we have previously reported, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is otherwise expected to largely follow the shape and function of last year’s model, with the recent reproductions suggesting that the two will almost be identical in appearance.
The visual equality also tells us a little about the phone’s hardware – we still expect two cameras, a contoured coverage display and an inner screen with a high aspect relationship, although the screens are tipped to very little increase in size.
Still, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 already has a place on our lists of the best folding phones and best Samsung phones, so a boost to battery would probably also be enough to secure these spots for its follow-up.
