- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 could both have a new version of Samsung’s Providence of Engine
- This can allow for higher quality photos, better digital zoom and better videoability
- The foldable ones have also both been certified in South Korea, suggesting that they are soon launching
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could arrive with a major upgrade under the hood that delivers improved photos and videos, based on a new leak.
We have previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have a new 200MP camera, but that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 may not be in for such upgrades, with the same camera barware as last year tilted.
However, Z Flip 7 could still be able to take better photos than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, as both upcoming foldable may have an improved version of Samsung’s Providence Motor AI-image treatment technology.
This is according to Leaker @pandaflashpro that claims that a new version of Provessual Engine will come to both Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
This upgrade will apparently allow for better photo quality, better digital zoom quality and better videoability. So in other words, both photos and videos could look better on these phones than on their predecessors.
“Confirmed” Galaxy Z Fold 7 | Flip 7 uses Samsung’s new generation #Galaxyai Pro-Visual Engine, which will later be expanded to the Galaxy S25 series.June 12, 2025
President Motor debuted in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, and it’s a package of AI tools that work in the background to improve photo and video quality – as well as drive things like generative editing that allow you to change photos you’ve taken.
So it’s not a new thing, but if this leak is straight, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will get a new and improved version of tech. However, the source adds that this upgraded version subsequently lands on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as a software update, so you may not need to buy one of the company’s upcoming foldable to get it.
Certified for launch
In other Samsung -Caming news Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 have both been certified by Safete Korea (as stained by Xpertpick).
These certifications do not tell us much, but it is mandatory for phones to receive this certification before they are sold in South Korea, so this both confirms that the phones are in the works and suggest that they will soon land as this certification will usually happen quite close to the launch.
It makes sense, as we would expect both handsets to be launched in July, with a leak that points to a July 10th message.
