- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be only 3.9 mm thick when unfolding
- It can also have new battery and charging technology
- We also hear again that Galaxy Z -Flip 7 could have a larger battery than its predecessor
We have heard from several sources that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be impressive slim, but a new requirement suggests that it will be even thinner than we have heard before, at least when we unfold.
According to @universeice, a leak with a solid track record, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will only be 3.9 mm thick when unfolded – it is even leaner than a 4.5mm claim we had heard before.
When folded, it is a slightly different story, with this source claiming that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be 8.9 mm thick, which would actually be thicker than the 8.2 mm we had heard elsewhere. Either way, however, it is unusually slim for a foldable phone.
According to some exclusive information, the next direction of Samsung Flagship Machine is still to be thin and lightweight and the battery will be thin and thin and the body will continue to be thin. Galaxy Z Fold7 will be the thinnest folding machine in the world at the time, … pic.twitter.com/uas3nzaf8jMay 7, 2025
@Universeice also sheds light on the battery and repeats previous leaks by saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a 4,400mAh battery, like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, but exciting also claimed it will use new battery and charging technology.
It is unclear what they mean by this, but it may mean that the battery will last longer than the battery in Z Fold 6, despite the fact that apparently is the same capacity and it can also mean that we see higher charging speeds than 25W in Z Fold 6.
From the fold to flip and s26
By moving away from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the same source has also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 4,300mAh battery. That would make it bigger than the 4,000 mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, and this is something we’ve heard from several sources, so there’s a good chance it’s exactly.
Finally, @universeice claims that Samsung Galaxy S26 “will continue to be thin”. As a reference, the Samsung Galaxy S25 7.2 mm is thick, so this suggests that its successor will not be much thicker and may be thinner.
Of course, we would take all this with a pinch of salt, but as far as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 GO, we should know everything about them soon as they are likely to be revealed in July. However, the Samsung Galaxy S26 probably won’t land until early 2026.
