- Samsung may have a brand new pen up the sleeve
- A business committee revealed that Samsung is developing a new s pen
- It only returns when the device is completely right and if enough people want
The s -pen is dead, long live s pen? Yes, while Samsung’s stylus has skipped the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, it may not be goodbye forever – be it a return for future generations or a return for Z Fold 7.
It is according to comments from Samsung’s own Kang Min-Seok head to plan the smartphone product-to-Korean Outlet-Etnews. He explained that Samsung “examines and develops thinner and innovative technologies for S -Pen” (machine translated from Korean).
Adding that the S -Pen will potentially return “as the level of perfection increases and there is consumer demand.”
This can adapt to Samsung’s Hideep Partnership. The couple is said to work on an S-Pen that does not require a Digitizer or an internal battery that combines the best of both BatteryLess’s pen and Digitizer-less Apple Pencil (via Sammobile).
A new stylus design could explain why Samsung removed Digitizer from his Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. If it hoped to have the next Gen’s pen ready for Z Fold 7’s launch, why would it be burdened with an soon-to-be-to-be-developing component?
The fact that it is not yet here suggests that Stylus may have been delayed, or it may be that Samsung simply loves until its S26 Ultra launch to introduce a new s pen to the world. However, it leaves a frustrating 6-month or so long gorge for Z Fold 7 users to suffer without a stylus.
Alternatively, tying into the second aspect of Samsung’s comment, it could simply be that the S -Pen was not popular enough with the Z Fold line to justify continued support. And although I have never felt the need to use a stylus, it seems as much Samsung’s decision as it is mine.

Samsung muted s pen
If commentators online are to believe, Z Fold 7’s huge faux passport is enough to kill the folding directly, but as an avid Z Fold 6 user I think reports of Z Fold 7’s death are very exaggerated.
I have never felt the need to use an S pen and I do not expect that I will miss it now.
If I ever needed to write notes or comment, I could use my index finger, which was always quick and accurate enough for short comments. Alternatively, I was able to write my annotation entry fully using swipe to type or speech-to-text to speed up things.
Maybe this was not quite my decision, though, because the main factor in my decision on the use of PEN use is not that I will not use one is that I do not own one.
Z Fold line did not come with an S -Pen like Samsung’s Ultra phones, which means you had to buy stylus separately. In addition, you need to find your own storage solution for S PEN, and according to user reviews on Samsung’s website, its official S Pen Z Fold 6 case is beyond terrible.
So if the use of pen is low on Samsung’s foldable, I’m hardly surprised.

It is impossible to know how popular the rumored renewed s pen will be. While many are disappointed with the Z Fold 7’s lack of a stylus, how many of them ever planned to really buy the collapse, and would a new and improved stylus change their decision?
I will never say no to a renewal, but the real change I want to see is Samsung’s next folding fall with stylus in the box. That would make it a real ultra -equivalent as Samsung has promised for Z Fold 7.
