- Samsung is rolling a UI 7 to all supported Galaxy S and Galaxy Z Series phones in the US
- The long-awaited update effectively ends a long-lasting month long roll-out to the Android 15-based update
- In the months since a UI 7 launched in form before release, Android 16 has been confirmed and a UI 8 is jerked
Samsung finally rolls a UI 7 for older Galaxy phones in the United States, after months of delays and ambiguity over the launch of the Korean Tech Titan’s latest mobile operating system.
As reported by the Android Authority, Samsung is now rolling its latest OS version update to the full range of supported handsets after the Galaxy S24 series got the update in April 2025.
The full list of devices included in this latest phase of one UI 7’s long -lasting roll -out include:
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S21 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Fold 3
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 3
Per. SammoBile’s list of a UI 7-supported devices means that when the rollout is completed, a UI 7 will finally be available on all supported Galaxy S and Galaxy Z phones in the US. Presumably, other regions will soon follow.
Remarkably, the Android Authority report does not mention if this latest release will bring a UI 7 to any Galaxy A series -while the newly released Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 all run a UI 7 out of the box, we haven’t heard so much about previous generations.
Samsung has apparently struggled to get a UI 7 from Earth. The Android 15-based operating system was launched with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series in January, although this was officially a pre-release of the software.
Here at Techradar we have reported extensively about the various updates and rumors of a UI 7 and its long -term release through our dedicated Samsung Galaxy phones – but now it seems that an end is in sight.
But when Google gets closer to the launch of Android 16, it is worth asking if this delay will affect Samsung’s update plan that is moving forward.
We recently reported on allegedly leaked images showing an early version of a UI 8 running on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, but there is no story when this update might arrive.
However, let’s not come before ourselves – this is a good moment for Samsung Galaxy owners, and although I have not exactly been impressed with the roll -out of a UI 7, it is good to see Samsung pull through.
Now that Samsung’s latest software update is not limited to only the best Samsung phones, many more users are gaining access to its over -sighted user interface, New Now Bar feature and reworked message system, including new features. If you look forward to upgrading, tell us in the comments below.
