Faisalabad:
Advisor to the Prime Minister on political and public affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, said on Saturday that Pakistan’s political and military leadership is working to shape the country’s future independently.
He approached business at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and emphasized the importance of the recent Pak-Saudi defense pact and called it a “guarantee of the dignity and unity of the Muslim world.”
He said that during the deal, any attack on Saudi Arabia would be considered an attack on Pakistan, which emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to protect both its own borders and the sacred places in Islam.
He highlighted Pakistan’s strategic significance and cited past events, including the nuclear tests of May 28, 1998, and the country’s measured reaction to the Pulwama incident. “The world has seen that we neither bow to aggression nor compromise the national honor,” he claimed.
On the economic front, Rana Sanaullah rejected standard ridges as baseless and said the government had made tough but significant decisions to stabilize the economy. While the IMF program restrictions limited the possibility of immediate relief, he expressed confidence that positive results would soon be visible.
He urged business to maintain transparency to increase Pakistan’s global economic image and promised to tackle the worries of industrial hubs such as Faisalabad on a priority basis.
In response to media questions, he revealed that Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz had set aside large development funds for Faisalabad, although some were redirected due to flooding needs. He also recognized prolonged neglect in infrastructure development and promised to go in for a cancer hospital in Faisalabad.
