New York – New York Liberty Main coach Sandy Brondello is looking forward to the possibility of coaching Caitlin Clark in the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday, but Indiana Fever Star’s latest injury could threaten it.
Talking with the media before Wednesday evening’s dominant victory over The fever, Brondello complained that Clark was excluded by the game after she suffered a groin injury during Indiana’s game on Tuesday.

“You will never see a player being hurt … She is an amazing player. It would have been good for our audience to see her, but hopefully they will see it after post all-star-you get playing them again,” Brondello said of Tuesday’s matchup between Liberty and Fever.

“As for All-Star, I’m glad to get to know her a little bit. I think that’s the part of All-Star will train players that you haven’t coached before and get to know them a little and enjoy the whole celebration.”
Clark, who won the fan vote, was paired with the coach with the best record – Brondello.
She was appointed captain in her second All-Star performance and was also ready to compete in her first 3-point competition. But another injury has put all that into danger.

Fever fades without Caitlin Clark as Liberty dominates on the way into the All-Star weekend
Fever-head coach Stephanie White said there have been “any discussions” with regard to the all-star weekend.
“There’s no discussion about this weekend yet,” White told journalists before Wednesday’s match. “Imaging was performed, and obviously we exclude her tonight, but there has been no discussion beyond tonight.”
Clark trades With her second groin injury in the year. White said she doesn’t think Clark’s latest injury is the same as her earlier. Clark also missed five games early in the season due to a quad injury.

“I’m not really sure it is a sluice as much as another kind of injury. I often know when you work with damage in the groin and quad and hamstring and all these things that are just-they are all kinds tied together, and that’s not always just one thing.”
The fever hosts All-Star Weekend, beginning on Friday.
