Saquon Barkley lives up for the Eagles promise when they reach the Super Bowl

Green and white confetti filled Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday night, just as Eagles had planned – they were going to the Super Bowl Lix.

Eagles returns to the “big game” aimed at revenge against Kansas City Chiefs, who not only tries to do the NFL story, but beat Philadelphia in the Super Bowl Lvii to begin this dynasty.

For some of these eagles, however, this is the first time they have a chance at Vince Lombardi Trophy, and the superstar driving Saquon Barkley is one of them.

When Barkley signed with Eagles in free agency, after spending six seasons with NFC East-Rival New York Giants, he made a promise to get to the Super Bowl. Now that it actually happened, Barkley’s next goal is a simple goal: beat chiefs.

“It was one of the first conversations I had with [Eagles GM] Howie [Roseman]”Said Barkley via CBS SPORTS after the victory 55-23 over the Washington commanders.” That was the conversation I had with my family. Barkley definitely did his part in helping his team get the ticket to New Orleans, scored three touchdowns and rushes over 100 meters again in this career-best campaign he continues to add to.

Barkley is himself in the CUSP of the story, as he seems to be destined to break the NFL record for most rushing yards in a season, including the playoffs, which Hall of Famer Terrell Davis currently owns with 2,476 yards. Barkley has 2,447 after his 118 yards on Sunday.

He got most of them on the Eagles’ first offensive snap of the game-a 60-yard Rush, where he broke several commanders tackle attempts to find the final zone for the 7-3 lead. It marked his third touchdown on 60 yards or more this postal season – mostly in the NFL story.

Individual story is great to have, as Barkley has mentioned, who wants to be in the same conversation as Davis, Barry Sanders, Eric Dickerson and many others who run back elites, the moment the giants took him the other gathered out of the Penn State .

But Barkley’s team-first approach has always shone light, and winning it all means everything.
