Saudi -Arabia has renewed its $ 100 million monthly exposed oil payment plants for Pakistan for another year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed on Tuesday.

PM, who spoke at a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, shared PM details about a letter from Saudi crown prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, confirming the expansion of the Saudi Development Fund’s support.

“We are deeply grateful to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi leadership. Saudi -Arabia has always stood at Pakistan in difficult times,” he said.

The cabinet was informed of digitization of government operations, with officials reporting that 98% of federal departments had adopted the E-office system with 100% implementation in 39 divisions.

In addition, 21 divisions have fully adopted Interministeriel Digital Communication, while 176 government institutions have also implemented the system.

PM Shehbaz instructed the complete digitization of all federal ministries before March 20, calling for improvements in digital services to overseas Pakistanis.

In addition, the Cabinet Pakistan’s participation in a UN Convention on the protection of marine resources in international waters approved, which are expected to benefit local fishermen.

The grant contains provisions on verification services, a mobile registration program, an official payment gateway and infrastructure development.

The cabinet further approved a study of the Investigative Commission on alleged irregularities in Pakistan Engineering Council’s controlling organ selection at the request of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In addition, it approved changes to the Court of Appeal to Inland on Revenue and confirmed previous financial and legislative decisions made earlier this month.
