Scottie Scheffler deletes the payment app because of excessive sporting bettors

Scottie Scheffler is perhaps the overwhelming favorite headline into Us open This weekend, according to Vegas – but it’s not something that the newly crowned PGA Championship winner especially enjoys.

In a speech with journalists at Oakmont on Tuesday, Scheffler was asked about the betting of the bet and if he ever hears from fans with a “financial investment” in his performance. Not surprisingly he said Most golfers Listen from fans regardless.

But what Scheffler revealed that was shocking was that he was forced to delete a popular payment contact app after fans stumbled over it.

“I think everyone hears from fans if they have a financial advantage or something in their result. That’s why I had to get rid of my friend because I either got paid by people or people who requested me a lot of money when I didn’t win.”

“It wasn’t a good feeling,” he added with a smile.

Scheffler chases back-to-back big wins after winning PGA championship at Quail Hollow last month. And the odds are stacked in his advantage for good reason.

He has won three of his last four tournaments with a combined 17 shot and has won 25% of his tournaments since his first PGA Tour Wind in 2022.

But for Scheffler, statistics and odds do not mean much on the course.

“I am not aware of the favorite things or something similar. From Thursday morning we are on a straight couple and it is up to me to go out there and play against the golf course and see what I can do.”
