Scottie Scheffler was in an uncertain position after his opening tee shot at the 18th hole in the second round of Pebble Beach Pro-Am Friday. But the star golf player succeeded an epic couple rescue.
Scheffler pulled his tee shot into the beach, but did not see land. He could have either taken a criminal droplet 40 feet forward from the end of the tee box, or walk 300 meters or take a chance he could find his ball.
“I just (hit) a low move, I hadn’t been running it very well all day and it was a tough tee ball today where I was mostly on the left. And I thought as it looked out of tee -The box, I was like, ‘Well, I assume we should go up there and see,’ Because I didn’t see the syringe, I didn’t see any mowing, I knew there was true there. ‘

Scheffler was lucky enough to find his ball, and then came the next task: hit the beach back on the field and get it over the cliff.
Scheffler was just hoping to find grass.
“I think the unpredictability was the most difficult part. I really just tried to get it out over the rocks, and anywhere up on the grass I would have been pretty happy, obviously. Saved me a few shots that could find My ball in the sand, “Scheffler said.
He was able to find some grass on the fairway that left him about 180 meters out, but even though he was out of the sand, this shot was not easier.
“I mean it was a really tough shot. I was in between clubs and I had to chip a 6-iron in there from 180 (yards out), with the wind you can of course see it blow out of the left there, so It was a pretty tough shot, just happy to get it on the green, ”Scheffler said.
