Peshawar:
Security forces killed 158 terrorists in 73 intelligence-based operations (IBOS) over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the month
In March, according to a report released by the security forces.
The report revealed that several injuries were inflicted in different districts.
At least 40 ban were killed in North Waziristan, 25 in Dera Ismael Khan, 20 in Mohmand, 18 each in Marran and Bannu, 12 in South Waziristan, 6 in Bajour, 7 in Lukki Marwat, 4 in Khyber, two each in Karak and Tank and one in Peshawar, Hangu, Swat and Charsad.
During the 73 IBOs in 15 districts in KP, the security forces received a large cache of weapons and explosive material, including 123 SMGs, 53 guns, 34 guns, 29 rocket throwers, 9 machine guns and 186 hand grenades.
Meanwhile, as many as 152 security staff and citizens became martyrated, while 302 were injured in KP in the first three months of the current year.
According to a quarterly report released by the KP police, among the martyrs were 45 ordinary citizens, 37 policemen and 34 FC staff.
The highest number of injuries – 124 – took place in Bannu, followed by 42 in Khyber and 41 in North Waziristan.
